We are so lucky to have a team of amazing, qualified carers here, who love children and love their job. Every day at Little Explorers is a fun adventure, and the team here work so hard to maintain the great atmosphere that exists at our nursery. Our carers are trained in food hygiene and safeguarding children.

Our team is 100% qualified in paediatric first aid!

Hello, I'm Clare, the owner of Little Explorers Nursery and Preschool. I set the nursery up with the help of my husband Rick in April 2014. We have three children who keep us very busy in our spare time, and two lovely dogs who have completed our family. I am dedicated to making Little Explorers of the highest standard, offering a caring and stimulating environment for the children. I have a fantastic team at the nursery who I work alongside daily. Welcome to Little Explorers.....

Hello, my name is Amber, and I am the Nursery Manager at Little Explorers. I'm a level 3 qualified practitioner and have worked with all age groups throughout my career in childcare. I have worked at Little Explorers for 5 years and have seen the nursery flourish over the years. I am committed to working alongside families to help them get the best experience whilst at our nursery. I look forward to helping the nursery grow in the future by continuing to extend my and the teams' knowledge of children and their development.

Hello, my name is Kat. I'm the Deputy Manager and the Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator. I am extremely passionate about the Early Years, especially supporting children with additional needs, and have a Level 3 childcare qualification. I also have a degree in Retail Design Management and enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience of art and design with the children. I have high aspirations for all children, working mainly with the Preschool group, and I love being part of the Little Explorers team!

Hello, I’m Sophie and I am currently working with the toddlers and preschool (2-4). I have recently completed my Level 3 in childcare and am looking forward to learning lots during my time at Little Explorers, with plans to extend my knowledge by attending courses such as ‘Learning Makaton’ and others, so I can develop my practice. At home I enjoy baking for family occasions and other events!

Hi, My name is Jade and I'm the nursery chef. I have previously worked in a bakery, which has given me the skills to cook some yummy treats! I enjoy preparing food for the children and always include a range of healthy meals and snacks. I have a level 2 in Food Hygiene and look forward to extending my training. I have also worked in many other nursery settings, and so have a good understanding of what children need. I am kept busy outside of the nursery with looking after my children and family.

Hello, I’m Emma and I have a level 3 qualification in Childcare. I am a very busy mum to 4 children ages 2 to 17 years old. I enjoy socialising and spending quality time with family and friends. I have worked with all age groups during my childcare career and have experience with additional needs. I have attended a sing and sign courses where I have learnt lots of useful signs. I have found this a helpful tool when communicating to both my own children and the children within the setting. I look forward to putting this into practise more. My passion is to make a difference in the early years sector and be part of the Little Explores team.

Hello! I'm Jo the nursery chef. I have over 35 years of experience of working with food. Working in the nursery kitchen is a new experience for me but i am enjoying getting the children excited about trying and preparing new foods! I am passionate about healthy eating and making home made meals. At home I enjoy gardening. This includes growing my own vegetables that I use in my cooking!

Hi, I'm Trisha and I have been working with children for 12 years. I enjoy the fun filled days and being able to be there for first time experiences such as babies first words or being there for the first few weeks of walking. I enjoy watching children develop, grow and gain their own personalities. I am currently working with the babies (0-2) and am having the best time! At the weekend I enjoy walking my dog and spending time with my family!

Hi My name is Dawn and I am a level 3 qualified nursery nurse. I have been in childcare for many years, working in different child related areas. I am now happy to be Supply Staff at Little Explorers, supporting the children and staff and having fun! In my spare time I enjoy my 4 granddaughters. I also keep busy by being a rainbow and guide leader, and I have helped at the blind club for 33 years.

Hi, my name is Shannon and I am currently working with the babies (0-2). I have a level 2 in childcare and am working on gaining my Level 3. I’m looking forward to extending my career and learning new things. I run a dance class with the children on a Monday and Wednesday, and love helping the children learn new moves! I enjoy helping children to get moving and be more active whilst in our care. Outside of work I have 2 snakes (a royal ball python and a corn snake) which I enjoy caring for in my spare time.
